Mickey Solar Panels
Renewable Energy and Fuels

Renewable energy and fuel are power sources of choice for Disney parks and experiences worldwide. As of 2023, we have commissioned and announced more than 200MW of solar energy capacity across our businesses worldwide. In fact, Disneyland Paris will be home to Europe’s largest solar canopy plant which, once complete at the end of 2023, will produce enough energy equivalent to powering a European town of 17,400 people. At sea, Disney Cruise Line’s most recent ship, the Disney Wish, is primarily powered by liquified natural gas (LNG), which is one of the cleanest-burning marine fuels currently available and significantly reduces the ship’s emissions compared to traditional fuel sources.

Food Waste
Waste Management

By reducing the amount of waste we generate, reusing what we can and recycling materials, we can help reduce biodiversity loss, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, while also protecting local communities. In 2022, nearly 60% of our operational waste was diverted from landfill and incineration.
