More than 28,000 Cast Members are represented by 26 unions and through the collective bargaining process, we have contracts with strong starting wages, up more than 40% over the last five years.

Each year thousands of Cast Members move from part-time to full-time roles, with approximately 4,000 individuals making the transition in 2022.

More than 14,000 employees are currently enrolled company-wide in Disney Aspire, Disney’s career development program offering 100% tuition paid up front for full-time and part-time hourly employees.

Roles and Pay

At Disneyland Resort, many skilled roles exceed a starting rate of $20 an hour, and we have established a starting rate of $20 an hour for many other positions. Here’s a snapshot of a few:

Starting Hourly Rate: $18

From the jungles of Adventureland to the roads of Radiator Springs, you’ll find our Attractions Cast Members operating ride vehicles, loading and unloading attractions and delivering entertaining narrations that bring our stories to life.

Housekeeping

Starting Hourly Rate: $23.50

Our Housekeepers create a home-away-from-home experience for our Guests, ensuring that our rooms are sprinkled with pixie dust, and that a stay at one of the three Hotels of the Disneyland Resort is truly memorable.

Merchandise

Starting Hourly Rate: $18

From replenishing plush Plutos to embroidering our iconic ear hats, Merchandise Cast Members assist Guests looking for a perfect gift or souvenir to commemorate their visit to Disneyland Resort.

Our Entertainment Cast Members accompany Mickey Mouse and his friends throughout our parks, perform in our parades and spectaculars, and immerse our Guests in the stories that bring our lands and characters to life.

In addition to welcoming Guests checking in and out of our hotel rooms, these Cast Members are Disneyland Resort experts and enhance Guests’ experience by providing information about services at our parks as well as the surrounding Southern California area.
