Magic Awaits! Disney Vacation Club to Debut New Experiences

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Nov. 26, 2024) – Disney Vacation Club has experienced significant growth throughout 2024, including the opening of an all-new resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. With additional new experiences on the horizon, Disney Vacation Club continues to offer unique opportunities for families to create vacation memories. Here’s a look at what lies ahead for members and guests.

Grand Opening of the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

Final touches are in progress as the all-new addition to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows gets ready to welcome guests on Dec. 17. The tower will feature 268 spacious rooms, many of the comforts of home and breathtaking views of Walt Disney World Resort. From cozy duo studios to brand-new two-bedroom penthouse villas, members and guests will enjoy staying a quick monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park.

Members and guests staying at the Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will also be able to enjoy new amenities, such as relaxing terrace gardens, a new pool area and splash zone featuring a life-size statue of Moana and her iconic canoe, called “Moana’s Voyage.” The new tower will also be home to Wailulu Bar & Grill, a casual dining venue celebrating the flavors of the Polynesian Islands. 

Reservations for the Island Tower addition and sales for Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are currently open.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Nears Completion

In spring 2025, all 354 cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be finished, marking the official completion of the 17th Disney Vacation Club resort. Each one-bedroom cabin comfortably sleeps up to six guests and includes a main bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living area, dining area and outdoor patio. Members and guests staying at the cabins can enjoy the adventurous, family-friendly recreation options at Fort Wilderness ranging from equestrian trails, fishing and archery to poolside relaxation and timeless dining experiences including the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The resort also offers dog-friendly cabins for guests looking to bring their pets along.

Launching the Membership Magic Beyond Option

Beginning on Jan. 12, 2025, Members who are eligible for Membership Extras and have enrolled in the “Membership Magic Beyond” option will gain access to an additional bundle of products and experiences, such as access to purchase specially priced, multi-day weekday tickets to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Theme Parks, a 30-Day Memory Maker entitlement, and magical meet-and-greets with fan-favorite Disney characters. This option will also offer members new ways to use their Disney Vacation Club membership, including the opportunity to use vacation points to purchase a new or renewed Walt Disney World Resort Disney Sorcerer Pass.

The “Membership Magic Beyond” option will be available for eligible members to purchase beginning on Dec. 3, 2024. In 2025, members who enroll will be able to take advantage of these benefits from Jan. 12 until Dec. 31, 2025.  

New Member Lounge Coming Soon to Magic Kingdom Park

Projected to open by summer 2025, the third lounge at Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge will be a rustic retreat in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park. During a day of play in the theme park, members who are eligible for Membership Extras and their guests can enjoy rest and refreshment in this cozy escape, influenced by the American West.

Construction is Underway at Disney Lakeshore Lodge

Projected to open in 2027, this proposed new Disney Vacation Club property will be located alongside the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort. The resort will be inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists. The proposed Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be located within the same footprint of the previously announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge resort.
