Summertime Treats Are Deliciously Cool at Walt Disney World Resort 

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (July 12, 2024) – A delectable selection of refreshing summer treats awaits guests at Walt Disney World Resort this summer. From whimsical ice creams to frosty beverages, there are plenty of bites and sips that bring on the summertime ahhhhhhhs.

Every serving, scoop and pour is like getting a summertime sprinkling of pixie dust. From iconic Mickey-shaped Ice Cream Bars to unique recipes inspired by classic Disney films – like The Grey Stuff from “Beauty and The Beast” – an array of sweet treats can make guests jump for joy – and fuel their day with a sugar rush. 

As the sun climbs higher, every corner of Walt Disney World seems to have something cool and tasty at the ready. Here’s just the tip of the tasty-treats iceberg… 

Magic Kingdom Park 

No day in the Magic Kingdom is complete without indulging in a sweet treat, whether it is the limited-time Butter Pecan Praline Sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street U.S.A. or an iconic Mickey-shaped Ice Cream Bar.  

As the summer breeze blows away a winter storm, why not indulge in the iconic flavors of a frozen DOLE Whip®? This popular dessert is a fan-favorite for a reason. The pineapple-flavored soft-serve is rich and creamy, with the perfect amount of tartness.  

One of the most iconic Disney treats, the DOLE Whip® has been reimagined in unique ways to suit many taste buds. With all kinds of flavors, toppings and combinations, it can be served in a cup, sugar cone, or even as a pineapple-juice float.

EPCOT 

Some might think EPCOT stands for Every Palate Craves Outstanding Treats (it doesn’t, really), but the park is the perfect place to discover new culinary experiences while making the journey across its four neighborhoods.  

Home to popular attractions like Soarin’ Around the World and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, World Nature offers The Land and The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilions. For a quick pick-me-up, The Land Cart provides a selection of “better-for-you” fare like a refreshing Açaí Parfait with Greek yogurt, fresh berries and granola, or a Florida Smoothie featuring pineapple, orange, and mango flavors.  

At World Discovery, guests can learn about technological innovation, experience intergalactic adventures, and savor culinary delights. Frozen beverages of various kinds are available at the Refreshment Station Hosted by Coca-Cola®, perfect for a revitalizing break with a twist. Here toppings like popping candies, rock candy, gummy worms and other yummy candies can be added to any slushy. Flavors include Frozen Coca-Cola®, Frozen Hibiscus Lemonade and even Frozen Fanta® Piña Colada! 

As guests shop ‘til they drop at Creations Shop in World Celebration, they can “take five” in the nearby Club Cool Presented by Coca-Cola®. It features Coca-Cola® products from around the world, including the infamously bitter Beverly from Italy and the tart-yet-sweet Viva Raspberry soda from Moldova. Guests can enjoy a sampling of free beverages while cooling off in the A/C.  

On a culinary adventure across the 11 countries of World Showcase, guests will find an internationally inspired collection of cool treats.  

At Fife & Drum Tavern in The America Adventure, guests can indulge in The American Dream. This popular and patriotic drink blends frozen Fanta® Wild Cherry vanilla ice cream, and frozen Fanta® Blue Raspberry slushy into a refreshing treat.  

Kabuki Café in the Japan Pavilion offers the classic Japanese delight known as Kakigōri. It is shaved ice available in a variety of delicious flavors.

And, at Gelateria Toscana in the Italy Pavilion, coffee enthusiasts will enjoy the Affogato Espresso Gelato, a perfect blend of creamy vanilla gelato and amaretto cookies, drowned in rich Italian espresso. 

Disney’s Hollywood Studios 

Lights…Camera…Eating! Disney’s Hollywood Studios is where guests can step into incredible worlds like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land and live out their dining adventures. 

In a galaxy far, far away over at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Kat Saka’s Kettle offers a chance to refuel with the perfect summer treat – the Cold Brew Black Caf. This fun twist on a classic cold brew coffee features a sweet cream cheese foam topped with chocolate puffs. It is perfect for off-world travelers. 

At Toy Story Land there are adventures for kids and grown-ups alike, with “Lotso” chances to indulge in fun treats. Found at Woody’s Lunch Box, the Frozen Mystic Portal Punch is the perfect drink, featuring POWERade® Mountain Berry Blast with flavors of lemon-lime and tangerine served in a Souvenir Alien Sipper. There is also a delicious Grown-Up’s Lemonade jam packed with Minute Maid® premium lemonade, black cherry purée, and cherry vodka. 

For a “taste” of Hollywood Blvd vibe, 50s Prime Time Café Hosted by Coca-Cola® offers good old fashioned American comfort food and desserts. Here guests can enjoy the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake. Inspired by the classic PB&J, it’s a one-of-a-kind take on a shake. Another classic treat with a twist is the Mickey Brownie Sundae available at Hollywood Scoops on Sunset Boulevard. A house-made Mickey-shaped brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream, this treat is perfect to share with family and friends – or indulge solo.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park 

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is home to an astounding array of experiences and treats. There are so many goodies to choose from, as guests behold the magic of nature in Africa and Asia, explore the wonders of Pandora – The World of Avatar, learn about animals at Discovery Island, or go back in time at DinoLand U.S.A. 

Before flying on the back of a mountain banshee or journeying deep into a bioluminescent rainforest, guests should make their way over to Pongu Pongu in Pandora – The World of Avatar and try the refreshing Night Blossom. This specialty drink features layers of apple and desert pear limeade topped with boba balls, providing a unique blend of flavors and textures.  

Tamu Tamu Refreshments is the place to indulge in a Pineapple Crisp Sundae. Featuring a pineapple crisp cake, vanilla ice cream, pineapple caramel, and crispy streusel topping, this sundae provides an experience that immerses guests in tropical bliss.  

Dino-Bite Snacks in DinoLand U.S.A. is another place to dig up frozen delights. Whether it’s a delicious float, a decadent sundae or an ice cream cookie sandwich, this location puts a fun spin on iconic desserts.  

Disney Resorts Collection Hotels 

The fun doesn’t stop at the parks. Guests can also enjoy mouthwatering desserts while they soak up the sun at the pool or lounge around any of the more than two dozen Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. For many tastes and budgets, there are unmissable treats perfect to sweeten up their resort experience.

At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is the place for nostalgic and showstopping desserts like the SNICKERS® Sundae and the No Way José – a delectable creation with ice cream, peanut butter and hot fudge. For the ultimate treat, the Kitchen Sink features 8 scoops of ice cream smothered in different toppings. 

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort transports guests to a relaxing paradise that includes an incredible pool with a waterslide, blissful amenities and immersive cuisine. Sebastian’s Bistro has a variety of frozen beverages to choose from, but a must-do is the Sebastian Island Paradise with its a frozen blend of passionfruit, orange and guava juices. 

As guests splash around the Hippy Dippy pool at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Petals Pool Bar offers tropical specialties like the Totally Tropical and the Piña CoLAVA. There are also tasty smoothies such as the Lava Smoothie that features raspberry purée blended with flavors of coconut and pineapple.

Disney Springs 

From July 1 to August 11, visitors can get a taste of the Sunshine State and delight in local flavors at the Disney Springs Flavors of Florida presented by CORKCICLE®. With unique menu items at select locations across Disney Springs, visitors can take a break from their shopping and enjoy Florida-inspired desserts.  

Amorette’s Patisserie celebrates that fan-favorite character Orange Bird with orange-flavored treats like an Orange Slushie and an Orange Bird Dome Cake. Swirls on the Water has an Orange Bird Float that consists of DOLE Whip® orange and watermelon swirl with Fanta® Orange. It is served in a souvenir cup and makes the perfect “Insta-worthy” drink.

D-Luxe Burger has created a shake out of the iconic flavors of Key Lime Pie. It features vanilla gelato blended with lemonade and graham cracker. That is topped with whipped cream, crushed graham crackers and a lime wedge to create a rich, decadent beverage sure to please the taste buds.
