Runners Flock to Walt Disney World Resort for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend 

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2025) – The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by CORKCICLE kicked off Thursday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. Runners from Central Florida and beyond picked up their race bibs and shirts, posed with beloved Disney characters such as Mulan and Minnie Mouse dressed in princess attire and shopped for exclusive runDisney merchandise—some of the most sought-after in the running community—along with the latest in fitness gear. 

The weekend, which celebrates women’s empowerment, continues Friday with the 5K, followed by Saturday’s 10K and Sunday’s half marathon. There’s also the Disney Fairytale Challenge (10K and half marathon) and yoga at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Monday. 

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, one of the largest women-focused races in the country, marks the third of four on-site race weekends at Walt Disney World during the 2024-25 runDisney season. Next up is the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend (April 3-6).  

These races offer a fun experience for all runners, allowing them to race through Disney theme parks, enjoy world-class entertainment and earn unique finisher medals.
