Three pillars of net zero emissions

Efforts to become a net zero emissions campus focus on three interconnected programs: energy efficiencyrenewable electricity and electrification. It takes a lot of lights to illuminate the magic at Disneyland Resort and work is underway to upgrade the entire property to energy-efficient LEDs by 2030. This transition supports a significant reduction in electricity consumption and energy footprint.

Additionally, Disneyland Resort has also enrolled in the Anaheim Green Power Program, which provides 60% of its electricity from renewable sources. The resort is focused on reaching 100% renewable electricity by the end of the decade, through a combination of onsite and offsite sources.

Electrifying the way forward

To minimize fossil fuel use, Disneyland Resort has introduced many zero-emission vehicles to its fleet. On-site EV charging depots across the property support both fleet and guest vehicle charging needs. Disneyland Resort is working towards converting half its large fleet to electric by 2030, saving thousands of gallons of gasoline annually while setting a sustainable standard in tourism and entertainment.

Disneyland Resort also announced its intention to electrify the Autopia attraction ride system over the next few years, ushering in a new story in the future of Tomorrowland.
