Disneyland Resort effectively negotiated agreements with Craft Maintenance Council and Workers United Local 50

Disneyland Resort entered negotiations with Workers United Local 50 on May 9, 2023, and Crafts Maintenance Council on May 11, 2023.

Workers United Local 50 represents over 8K full-time and part-time Food and Beverage cast members at Disneyland Resort. Negotiations lasted for 12 days reaching a tentative agreement on August 10, 2023, with a 5-year agreement ratified on August 19, 2023. The non-tipped starting rate increased to $21.25 representing a 30% wage increase. The non-tipped starting rate will increase to $26 by the end of the term of the agreement, representing a 58% wage increase.

Craft Maintenance Council represents over 1.3k full-time and part-time cast members including Electricians, Laborers, Gardeners, Machinists, Air Condition/Refrigeration Mechanics, Operating Engineers, Painters, Plasterers, Plumbers, Pipefitters, Sheet Metal Workers, Pictorial Artists, and Oiler-Truck Drivers. Negotiations began on May 11, 2023, and lasted 5 days reaching a tentative agreement on May 25, 2023. A 5-year agreement was ratified on June 19, 2023. The compensation terms included a 4.0% increase to the start rate and all steps of the wage rate structure. The adjusted minimum start rate to $25.00, representing a 30% increase. Cast Members will receive a wage increase between 20%-80% over the 5-year contract.

Both agreements underscore the importance of strong working relationships with unions and our continued commitment towards our cast members futures.
