Disneyland Resort offers competitive wages in the Orange County area. There has been significant growth over the past four years with our starting rates that are nearly $4 over the California minimum wage at $19.90 to $24.15, with many skilled roles exceeding a starting rate of $25 an hour.

Disney offers robust healthcare, dental and vision coverage for eligible cast members and their families beginning on the first day of employment. Healthcare plans start as low as $7 per week for individuals in California.

A dedicated Cast Care Center is provided onsite to help cast navigate their needs including an Employee Assistance Program (a free emotional health and family support resource), legal support, tax services, commuter assistance and a credit union to help with financial well-being. In addition, cast members have access to Care.com which connects them to quality child and senior care, housekeeping services, pet care homework help and more.

Over 4,000 Disneyland Resort cast members are actively enrolled in Disney Aspire, the company’s career development program offering 100% tuition paid up front for eligible full- and part-time hourly employees at colleges in network. Including local institutions such as California State University, Fullerton, and Fullerton College, Disney Aspire offers programs ranging from GED and skilled trade to bachelor programs. Books and fees required for the program are also reimbursable.

Academic awards of up to $20,000, applied over a four-year period, are granted to various graduating high school students of Disney cast members and employees from around the world. Scholarships are awarded based on students’ academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service and demonstrated leadership.

As a valued part of the Disney family, eligible Disney cast members can save on products, services, and experiences such as Disney on Broadway, Disney on Ice, Disney Fairy Tale Weddings, National Geographic subscriptions and more. LifeMart® is also an employee Discount Program for Cast Members to enjoy discounts on wellness products, Club membership savings such as Costco® and Sam’s Club®, exclusive savings from Apple® products and food and home delivery offers. Cast Members also receive discounts on movies, theme parks, concerts, major league sports, hotels and much more.

The Disney Look appearance guidelines have been rooted in the company history and present a standard to be upheld by all cast members to help ensure the best show to our guests. It simultaneously ensures that our cast members feel empowered to be their authentic selves and aligns with our brand.

We are a 24/7 operation and employ over 35,000 cast members who work a wide variety of schedules and shifts. Cast members are provided their schedules in advance to balance their individual needs.

There are many ways for our cast members to expand their skillsets and take the next step in their careers through on-hands experiences and development programs. Also available is Thrive@Disney which is a mentorship program engaging cast members through professional development in the form of 1:1 mentoring relationships and networking events. Additionally, the company offers cast members the opportunity for growth through the Disney Aspire program, a career development program offering 100% tuition paid up front at colleges in network.

Disneyland Resort provides Cast Members and their families complimentary access to Disney parks and discounts on Disney experiences and products, so they can make their own magical memories. cast members are invited to be among the first to experience our newest Disneyland Resort offerings and have access to one-of-a-kind events, previews of new entertainment and attractions, and other unique opportunities like after-hours celebrations in the parks, yoga at Sleeping Beauty Castle and canoe races around the Rivers of America, a Cast tradition since 1963.

Created in 1983, the Disney VoluntEARS program provides countless opportunities for Disney Cast Members to contribute their personal time, expertise, and effort to make a positive impact in the community including a matching gifts program.
