With a mission to foster the holistic safety and well-being of cast members, the Cast Care Center first opened its doors in 2022 to provide a dedicated space for emotional, social, financial and physical support. Since its inauguration, thousands of cast from across Disneyland Resort have benefited from the center’s valuable services and resources.
The Opening Celebration of the New Cast Care Center and Green Space
At Disneyland Resort, there is an ongoing mission to continue to enhance the cast member experience and as part of this effort a new Cast Care Center and outdoor green space were officially unveiled on September 18, 2024. Many gathered for the opening celebration, including Disneyland Resort President, Ken Potrock. “This multipurpose facility is another example of the intentionality we’re putting into enhancing our Cast’s experience,” said President Ken Potrock. “I’m thrilled cast members will have one-on-one support to access the many services and benefits available to them and their families.”
Support Resources at the Cast Care Center
As Disneyland Resort operates 24/7, the new center offers additional resources to support cast members with varied work schedules. This includes extended hours and multiple ways to connect with Care Associates, who guide cast in identifying the most suitable resources based on their personal needs. In addition to the Care Associates are the Cast Care leaders, volunteer cast members who generously donate their time to provide personalized assistance, advocate for cast and champion overall safety and wellness.
“It’s been truly inspiring to see the how large and important the Cast Care Center has become over the years to so many cast members,” Kaitlyn Parsons, a Cast Care leader and Disneyland Resort Stage Manager “From the launch of the daily Cast Care leader program to a space solely dedicated to Cast Care, it truly shows how this company prioritizes their cast members and will continue to do so for years to come.”
