The holidays came early as Disneyland Resort and Northgate González Market joined forces with a food distribution event for 125 local families facing food insecurity at James Madison Elementary School in Anaheim.
Bringing holiday magic to Anaheim
Northgate González Market and Disneyland Resort are dedicated to making the holidays brighter for those in need – in addition, they donated a total of $15,000 in holiday food vouchers to three community nonprofits: the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Anaheim-Cypress, the Anaheim Independencia Family Resource Center and Chrysalis Anaheim.
“Many families continue to face tough times, especially during the holidays,” said Miguel Gonzalez, co-president of Northgate Market. “In the spirit of the season, we teamed up with Disneyland Resort to bring some relief to families in our community.”
Creating lasting memories: support for local families
Eight families from these organizations will receive Disneyland Resort tickets, gift cards and Disney merchandise to spend a day at Disneyland Resort making memories together during the most magical time of year. Northgate Market will also award these families with an additional $200 each in grocery gift cards.
Building community through collaboration
“Nothing brings us more joy than making a positive impact in our community,” said Raul Aquino Rojas, Disney Ambassador of Disneyland Resort. “Teaming up with Northgate González Market to give a helping hand – and even make some extra holiday magic – is a wonderful way to share the spirit of the season and create lasting memories for families right here in Anaheim.”
