Parade at Disney California Adventure Park

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The new daytime parade, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” is making its debut at Disney California Adventure Park for Pixar Fest. Twice a day, from April 26 – Aug. 4, 2024, dynamic and colorful floats and high-energy dancing take to the streets, featuring more than two dozen favorite characters from 10 Pixar Animation Studios films to celebrate friendship and beyond.

Pixar’s stories center around beloved characters who support and uplift each other through all of life’s challenges to be better together. In this parade, eight floats will dazzle and delight to showcase Pixar characters and their heartwarming stories from classic Pixar films to new favorites—with many characters from “Turning Red” and “Luca” making their first appearance ever in a Disney Park. In addition to the eye-catching floats, the parade will come to life with exuberant performers donning colorful costumes, dancing along to an all-new upbeat musical score featuring tunes from “Turning Red,” “Soul,” and more.

Guests can check Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app* for show times and details.

Fun facts:

  • In bringing favorite Pixar stories to life, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” features eight floats and almost 70 performers, making it the parade with the most Pixar characters represented in a Disney Park.
  • To celebrate the stories of Pixar Animation Studios Films, the parade kicks off with an oversized version of the iconic Pixar lamp, adorned with stickers from films such as “Coco,” “Soul”, and “Turning Red”.
  • Catch Luca, Alberto, and Giulia from “Luca” and rock out with 4*TOWN and Meilin Lee’s father and friends from “Turning Red” when these characters make their first ever appearances at a Disney Park. And in this parade, Mei appears in her giant red panda form for the first time at a domestic Disney Park. Sporting his red hoodie and jeans, this parade will also mark the first time that Miguel will be in this look at Disneyland Resort.
  • Performers on beach cruiser bicycles channel the sunny, carefree spirit of Portorosso from “Luca” and help tell the story of unlikely friendships between Luca, Alberto, and Giulia and their adventures that lead to self-discovery and acceptance that ultimately unite their communities.
  • Luca and Alberto from “Luca” appear in this parade in their part-human, part sea-creature forms with blue-green scales and fins as they move between their two worlds.
  • The “Soul” float features Joe Gardner’s music students holding a big jazz jam session to celebrate their beloved teacher. The float is adorned with music notes that make up the actual musical track for the song that the class is performing.
  • Set to a high-energy soundtrack, the parade’s all-new musical score includes fresh compilations from the various featured Pixar films, including a melodic version of “Spirit of Adventure” from “Up,” a jaunty Italian tune from “Luca” and a finale track that blends the iconic “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” from “Toy Story” with “If I Didn’t Have You” from “Monsters, Inc.”
  • The festive parade reaches a crescendo with a medley of fan-favorite characters as Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone lead the way on hovercraft vehicles followed by other Pixar dynamic duos like Sulley and Mike Wazowski, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, and Miguel and Dante. In the fun-filled finale, Woody rides by in a toy truck and waves to friends for a fond farewell.
