Reimagination of the Downtown Disney District

Disneyland Resort continues to invest in the development of new guest experiences, and Downtown Disney District is in the midst of an exciting evolution. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern architecture in Southern California, the west end of the district is expanding with a blend of vibrant color palettes, multicultural design elements and patterns.

The Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage features a soaring sculptural tower designed by artist Nikkolas Smith. The tower pays tribute to the sublime work of pioneering architects of color in Southern California during the mid-20th century.

New dining and shopping destinations have recently opened in the transforming district:

  • Avengers Reserve celebrates the fandom and stories of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their friends with comic books, collectibles, apparel and toys for all ages.
