Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park Fact Sheet

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Cars Land opened in June 2012, with an invitation for guests to step right into Radiator Springs and meet “car-acters” from the hit Disney and Pixar films “Cars,” “Cars 2” and “Cars 3.” Spanning 12 acres in Disney California Adventure Park, Cars Land is a must-see for anyone visiting the Disneyland Resort. Cars Land is home to one of the largest and most elaborate attractions created for any Disney theme park, Radiator Springs Racers.

Attractions:

  • Radiator Springs Racers – Drivers cruise through classic storytelling in Disney “dark ride” fashion with a high-speed race as its grand finale (offers Lightning Lane access with the purchase of Lightning Lane Single Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass*).
  • Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters – Aboard miniature Italian roadsters that glide, turn and spin across a trackless “dance floor,” a high-octane “car-eographed” experience awaits. Guests can look out for themed overlays during Halloween Time and Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
  • Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree – Guests hop on a tractor in Mater’s junkyard as his herd performs a “tow-si-do” square dance in a whip-and-whirl “wheel” fun time. Guests can look out for themed overlays during Halloween Time and Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

Dining:

  • Flo’s V8 Cafe is modeled after roadside eateries along the original Route 66 and provides delicious quick-service dining for lunch or dinner. Some of the menu’s highlights include Flo’s famous fried chicken, the IMPOSSIBLE™ burger and Flo’s classic shake for dessert (Mobile order available on the Disneyland app**).
  • Cozy Cone Motel features windows where guests can check-in to check out favorite treats like churros, ice cream, popcorn, fan-favorite chili “cone” queso and more (Mobile order available on the Disneyland app).
  • Fillmore’s Taste-In offers a variety of fresh fruit, veggie snacks, beverages and more to those looking for a quick fuel-up.

Shopping:

  • Sarge’s Surplus Hut – Here, guests may discover a surplus of fun souvenirs, including Cars and Cars Land toys, apparel, hats and more inside an authentic Quonset hut home.
  • Radiator Springs Curios – A rustic gift shop with an assortment of toys, pins, apparel and accessories.
  • Ramone’s House of Body Art – Fashionable, roadside apparel and merchandise that celebrates car culture.

Entertainment: Lightning McQueen and Mater interact with guests and pose for pictures throughout the day and may appear in special seasonal attire at select times throughout the year.

Imaginative landscaping: The landscape throughout Cars Land continues the legendary, detail-oriented storytelling that can only be found at Disney Parks. From the tail-light “flowers” at Cozy Cone Motel to the tire-inspired topiaries just outside Casa Della Tires, the landscape looks as if the beloved cast of “Cars” decorated each of their homes in Cars Land. The dry, rocky look of Cars Land also immerses guests in the Route 66 theme.

Did you know?

  • Red’s Community Garden, a newly added seating area themed to everyone’s favorite fire truck, is a great spot to relax in the shade.
  • During the Halloween and Holiday seasons at Disneyland Resort, Cars Land undergoes seasonal transformations with cleverly themed décor, festive overlays on select attractions, and limited-time food and beverage offerings.
  • The peaks of Ornament Valley (from left to right), represent automobile tail fins from 1957, 1958, 1959 (the pinnacle), 1960, 1961 and 1962. The rockwork of Cars Land spans nearly 300,000 square feet – making it the largest rockwork construction in any domestic Disney theme park.
  • Radiator Springs Racers covers six acres – the largest attraction by acreage at the Disneyland Resort.
  • Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters was the first Disney attraction in the United States with a trackless ride system.
  • Larry the Cable Guy (voice of Mater from “Cars”) recorded seven original songs for the Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree attraction.
  • At sunset, Radiator Springs’s immersive neon lights light up the land like the iconic scene in “Cars.”
  • The Single Rider line for Radiator Springs Racers is an option for guests to minimize their wait time. However, groups will be separated, and each member of a party must be at least seven years old to experience the attraction as a single rider.
  • Hidden Mickeys can be found on the hoods of the cars in the windows of Ramone’s House of Body Art.
