ANAHEIM, Calif. – Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of performances, and many youngsters get their first taste of live entertainment at Disneyland Resort. From character encounters and live music to parades and nighttime spectaculars, the lineup of entertainment also includes seasonal and limited-time offerings throughout the year. The live entertainment that guests see at the Disneyland Resort is delivered by Disney Live Entertainment, a diverse team that represents a wide variety of creative disciplines and talents – from choreographers to lighting designers to technical directors.
For the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration beginning May 16, 2025, new and fan-favorite returning entertainment offerings add to the slate of entertainment available all year long.

At Disney California Adventure Park
- “Mickey’s Mix Magic” – Jan. 7-May 15, 2025: A dazzling high-energy projection show celebrating the legendary duo of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
- “Paint the Night” parade – May 16, 2025-Summer 2026: Returning as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, this parade is a fan-favorite for its visual spectacle, stunning color, upbeat soundtrack and more than a million brilliant LED lights.
- “Wondrous Journeys” – returns May 16, 2025, for a limited time: Returning as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, the nighttime spectacular includes nods to Walt Disney Animation Studios films over the past century. Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, the façade of “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America become an artist’s canvas with lighting and projection effects. Sparkling fireworks enhance the experience on select nights. “Wondrous Journeys” will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal Halloween and Holidays entertainment offerings, then resume at a later time.
- “Fire of the Rising Moons”: On select nights in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during Season of the Force, guests can catch a view of the fireworks display at Disneyland Park with musical accompaniment.
- “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga” – debuting March 28, 2025: During Season of the Force, new stunning projection effects take guests on a storytelling adventure in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, evoking memories from the Skywalker saga.
- Live music: The melodic sounds of the Disneyland Band, the Dapper Dans quartet, the Main Street Piano Player and the Straw Hatters are all on display on Main Street, U.S.A. In New Orleans Square, the toe-tapping performances star the Bootstrappers and the Jambalaya Jazz Band. Guests may also catch a song from Pearly Band in Fantasyland.
- Special and seasonal nighttime spectaculars: During seasonal celebrations and special events, guests can experience specially themed nighttime spectaculars, such as “Halloween Screams” and “Believe… in Holiday Magic.”
At Disney California Adventure Park
- “World of Color – ONE” – Jan. 7-May 15, 2025: This nighttime spectacular highlights iconic songs and moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers, and Star Wars.
- NEW “World of Color Happiness!” – May 16, 2025-Summer 2026: Debuting for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, Joy and the other emotions from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Inside Out 2” host a nighttime spectacular inspired by Walt Disney’s famous words on Disneyland’s opening day, “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!”
- “Better Together – A Pixar Pals Celebration!” – returns May 16, 2025, for a limited time: Returning for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, the energetic daytime parade features more than two dozen characters from Pixar films, including “Turning Red,” “Soul,” “Luca” and more. “Better Together – A Pixar Pals Celebration!” will temporarily pause to make way for seasonal Halloween, Holidays and Lunar New Year entertainment offerings, then resume at a later time.
- “Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje”: Recruits at Avengers Campus are invited to join Black Panther’s loyal bodyguards, the Dora Milaje, in training sessions in the courtyard near Avengers Headquarters.
- “Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!”: Star Lord and Gamora lead a groovy dance party set to rock and roll classics from Peter Quill’s beloved boom box.
- Live music: The swinging jazz combo Five & Dime delivers pizzazz and razzmatazz to Buena Vista Street. During “Operation: Playtime!”, the Green Army Patrol from Pixar’s “Toy Story” convoy the park. Plus, the Hollywood Backlot Stage and Paradise Garden Bandstand often host live musical acts.
- Special seasonal entertainment: Disney California Adventure offers a variety of special entertainment during seasonal festivals, including Lunar New Year, the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival and Disney Festival of Holidays.
The live entertainment experiences at Disneyland Resort extend beyond the theme parks, with a rotating lineup of nighttime musical entertainment at the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage and seasonally at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, with talented entertainers making appearances throughout the year at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort.
