Every Thanksgiving season, cast members, Imagineers, and Disney VoluntEARS around the world come together to support their communities. From delivering groceries, to serving up hot meals crafted by Disney chefs, to providing food vouchers and more, our cast go above and beyond to make a difference during the Season of Giving, and this year was no exception.

In Wismar, Germany, Disney Imagineers preparing for the debut of the Disney Adventure are bringing the spirit of giving to life. Every Friday, and throughout the holiday season, the passionate team of VoluntEARS spend their time at the local food bank, Wismarer Tafel, the local branch of Die Tafeln, to package and distribute food kits to families and help combat food insecurity in the community.

Disney’s Aulani Resort helps serve Thanksgiving Meals on O’ahu
Along with Ko Olina Resort, Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii helped donate, prepare and serve approximately 4,000 Thanksgiving meals. These meals were delivered to shelters across Oahu’s Leeward coast, bringing comfort to those in need. In addition, Disney VoluntEARS participated in a free Thanksgiving meal at The Salvation Army KROC Center, creating an evening of joy and togetherness for the community.
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort Food Drive
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort on the coast of South Carolina recently hosted a canned food drive to benefit the Deep Well Project’s food pantry, providing support for families in the community with the meal items stocking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for families in need. Running from October 11 to November 18, the drive embodied the spirit of Disney Giving, bringing cast and the community together to make a meaningful impact.
How Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Brought Food and Joy to Families
This Thanksgiving season, Disneyland Resort teamed up with Northgate González Markets once again to provide groceries to 125 families in Anaheim, California. In addition, along with Northgate, $15,000 total in holiday food vouchers was donated to nonprofits including the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Anaheim-Cypress, the Anaheim Independencia Family Resource Center, and Chrysalis Anaheim. And to top it all off, eight families will also be surprised with a visit to the resort, complete with gift cards and Disney merchandise, to make magical holiday memories together!
At Walt Disney World, cast members carried on a cherished tradition more than 25 years in the making, serving 1,000+ warm Thanksgiving meals to Central Florida residents in need. These meals were prepared by Disney chefs and served directly to individuals and families experiencing houselessness and hardship at Coalition for the Homeless on Thanksgiving Day.
Giving is part of who we are at Disney. During the holidays, we hope to give even more because we believe everything we do to make magic can also make a difference. To learn more about our commitment to serving communities, visit impact.disney.com.
