help battle evil forces in Hong Kong’s exclusive experience Marvel Super Hero Summer
This summer, a growing number of Marvel’s Super Heroes will gather force for epic adventures in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL). Since the successful launch of Iron Man Experience, which has quickly become guests’ favorite park attraction, the Marvel universe is growing at the resort, making it the epicenter of Super Hero action in Asia. Now, even more Marvel Super Heroes are assembling to counter the evil forces of Hydra. Heroic guests are invited to join a brand new special event called Marvel Super Hero Summerfrom June 14 to September 3 and experience the Super Hero universe like never before.
Super Heroes assemble in force to lead guests on adventures
Super Heroes are calling on guests to join the ranks of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on a mission to save the world! New recruits can grab S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Credentials and a personalized ID1 at a designated location before going on missions like Iron Man Experience! First, join Captain America – A Hero’s Welcome, where Captain America will personally welcome new recruits to the team. Agents can also meet the legendary web-slinger at the Spider-Man Heroic Encounter. Then, walk through Mission: Dimensions of Danger to join Super Heroes in the battle against evil forces through interactive action with Thor and Star-Lord. Black Widow and Hawkeye will show up in Launch Bay while the mighty Thor appears in Odin’s Vault and Star-Lord joins the adventure in the Collector’s Museum. These Super Heroes are awaiting back up from guests to help Doctor Strange recover the powerful Portal Nexus artifact before it falls into the hands of Hydra.

This summer, a number of Marvel Super Heroes are assembling in the park for the first time ever, and guests will step into the exciting Marvel Universe filled with action-packed, interactive elements in a new, Hong Kong-exclusive experience.”
First-ever Marvel comic book available exclusively at Hong Kong Disneyland
HKDL teamed up with Marvel to introduce an all-new limited-edition Marvel comic book, “Iron Man Experience: Hong Kong Heroes #1.” Printed copies available for sale during Marvel Super Hero Summer only at the park. The Marvel team, including the Hong Kong artist Justice Wong and Hong Kong-based writer Howard Wong, spent two months crafting the comic. Set in Hong Kong, the story also debuts a new armored hero who joins Iron Man and the other Super Heroes to stop the bad guys from taking a secret treasure hidden in Hong Kong’s Stark Expo.

So it just felt natural to do a new original story set here, introducing a new Asian Hero from Hong Kong!”
Guests with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Credentials and ID can enjoy a 20% discount on the limited-edition Hong Kong Disneyland Marvel comic book (original price: HK$58) after they have completed specific missions and collected all four Medals of Valor in the park.
HKDL celebrates the launch of Marvel Super Hero Summer today by offering a complimentary copy of the first-ever limited-edition Marvel comic book to the first 1,000 guests to complete Mission: Dimensions of Danger or Spider-Man Heroic Encounter. As a reward for quickly jumping into the action with the Super Heroes, they will be the first to read about the new armored hero in Hong Kong introduced in this special comic book.
Marvel gear for the heroic
Agents need to gear up for the tough missions ahead. Find the best gear at HKDL, including nearly 300 Marvel-themed items in the Marvel Supply HQ. Choose from a range of supercharged T-shirts, awesome stationery and toys featuring Spider-Man, Captain America and the Avengers. To really get in on the Super Hero action, be sure to get a face painting as well as a jaw-dropping green-screen photo “Be a MARVEL Super Hero!”
Fuel up with over 20 Marvel-inspired food and beverage choices. Stark Kitchen will serve a Hero Burger Combo to satiate any hero-sized appetite. Available throughout the park and Chef Mickey at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel are Super Hero-themed desserts and drinks. Be tempted by the Hero’s Shield, Super Hero Jelly Cup and Super Hero Cotton Candy.
Power up during a hotel stay with the Iron Man Hotel Room Decoration package for HK$600 from now till end of December. Available in any of the resort’s three hotels, the package turns the hotel room into Iron Man’s headquarters with a special bed runner, mirror stickers, door sticker, slippers and Iron Man-themed macaroons.
Through its marketing campaign in collaboration with HKDL, SmarTone will be the first corporation in Hong Kong to offer selected guests a preview of Marvel Super Hero Summer in the Super Hero action to destroy the evil forces.
An imposing Marvel Super Hero Summer installation will be exhibited in Ocean Terminal Forecourt, Harbour City in early July. Presented by HKDL in conjunction with Harbour City, the installation will let Hong Kong people feel the power of Marvel Super Heroes this summer. A special area will also be set up in the mall to invite guests to join in the Super Hero action at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Following the action-packed Marvel Super Hero Summer, guests can look forward to the Marvel 10K Weekend 2017 – Presented by AIA Vitality in mid-September. At that race event, Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor and other Marvel Super Heroes will cheer the runners on. The resort is also building strong momentum for the heroic welcome of other new Marvel-themed entertainment, which will be a key feature of the upcoming expansion in the next few years!
Special offers ramp up the summer fun
HKDL is offering Hong Kong students a special “Student Summer Pass” to let young Super Heroes have as much excitement as they can during the Marvel Super Hero Summer. For HK$759, pass-holders can enjoy unlimited visits to the theme park, get a free S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Credential and ID2 and enjoy a 10% discount on themed memorabilia. The pass is valid from now till August 4.
